Rob is the creator and owner of Gotham Gym. For over 20 years he has been training everyone from celebrities to construction workers. Rob has immersed himself in nearly every aspect of physical culture and it informs every session he provides. Rob loses his phone every thirty minutes, and frequently blames his staff.
Randy started personal training after his stint in the Marine Corp. He has hired and developed numerous industry leaders, including Gotham Gym’s illustrious owner Rob Piela. He proudly lives without cable or internet and thinks he is really funny. He is not.
Josh began boxing at the age of 20 and competed in the NY Golden Gloves on two occasions. Josh was the very first employee of Gotham Gym and continues to service our members with fun, dynamic, and challenging full body workouts. He has been known to “bust a rhyme” outside of the gym. Hopefully, that is where he will continue to perform his magic.
Mike began boxing at the age of 15 and has competed in the N.Y Golden Gloves seven times, taking home 2 silver and 2 bronze medals. After a stint in the Marine Corp, he joined the Gotham Gym family and has proceeded to provide our members with an intense and focused workout experience. Mike endures constant verbal abuse from his teammates over his sense of fashion.
Mateo is currently undefeated in Muay-Thai, adding to his resume as a world champion Jiu-Jitsu competitor. He has been training for seven years. For the past two years he has been a part of the Gotham Gym family. Mateo’s unique skill set allows him to train clients in a variety of disciplines. Rumor has it that he went through a “Rico Suave” phase during his formative years.
Sechew has spent nearly all of his life as a student/teacher of boxing. He had an amateur record of 149-7 including 1997 teenage world champion and he is a 3 time national amateur champion. Sechew amassed a professional record of 36-5, fighting for the World Championship twice. His son is more handsome than he should be.
